EEAA appoints Claudia Sagripanti as Chief Executive

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has appointed events and digital technology expert, Claudia Sagripanti as their new Chief Executive.

Following an extensive executive search, Sagripanti was appointed by the EEAA board and will commence her new role on 17th February 2020.

EEAA President Spiro Anemogiannis advised “we are delighted to have someone of Claudia’s experience leading the EEAA into its next stage.

During her career, Sagripanti has worked in events and exhibitions and more recently in media and digital technology. She was the Chief Executive of Publishers Australia the trade association representing leading B2B and B2C publishers, and managed the events and awards of the Australian Data-Driven Marketing Association (ADMA).

Sagripanti also led the development of professional standards in online and mobile advertising in Australia for the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) and is currently on the advisory board for the International Social Media Association.

Sagripanti (pictured) has also worked for Macquarie Bank and more recently with Optus as Business Program Manager delivering digital transformation and new technology pilot projects, and developing project management value creation frameworks.

Anemogiannis added “Claudia is a persuasive and excellent networker and people person and has one of the most impressive networks I know. She is also a good strategic thinker which are qualities that are vital in this role.”

The EEAA board believes that Sagripanti as Chief Executive will help the EEAA continue to positively contribute to policy making at the highest levels and continue the good work of Joyce DiMascio.
