Eden Park appoints new operations General Manager
Auckland’s Eden Park, New Zealand’s largest stadium, has announced the appointment of Chris Mintern as General Manager - Operations.
Mintern joins the team at Eden Park having spent the last eight years as the General Manager of Operations at Venues Ōtautahi, where he successfully managed Christchurch's main event venues and delivered a range of events, including international cricket, All Blacks test, Super Rugby and major concerts including Elton John and Six60.
Before moving to New Zealand, Mintern worked in Consumer Business roles within the AFL and NRL at Collingwood Football Club, GWS Giants and the Parramatta Eels, leading and driving strategies to increase membership revenue and create greater fan experiences.
Commenting on the appointment, Eden Park Trust Chief Executive, Nick Sautner stated “(we are) excited for him to join the team - he not only possesses the necessary skills and experience but also embraces our Game Plan and strategic vision for our future.”
Set to commence his new role at Eden Park on 17th August, Mintern will visit the venue to observe its delivery of the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup 2023.
Mintern is also a member of the Board of the Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand (EVANZ).
