Double awards for Queenstown’s Snap Fitness club

Less than two years after opening, Snap Fitness’s Queenstown gym has recently secured a pair of prestigious awards.

Based in Queenstown’s The Landing at Remarkables Park, Snap Fitness was named Franchisee of the Year at the recent Australasian Snap Fitness Business Summit in Sydney.

The Queenstown club was also named International Franchisee of the Year Award at a gala dinner in Las Vegas, USA selected from over 3000 Snap Fitness clubs worldwide.

Owners Kurt Monkley, Adrian Mumford and Daniel Parsonage are delighted with the recognition, the Monkley stating “from the day we signed up for our franchise here, we’ve been committed to bring a community feel to the fitness scene.

“Our aim from the start was to create a friendly and comfortable environment with positive staff members and world-class equipment, and we’re confident we’ve achieved that.

“We’re passionate about providing excellent customer service to ensure members actually enjoy coming to the gym and are thrilled with the results they achieve.

“We’ve created a fantastic and supportive gym community in a relatively short period of time, helping us triple our membership numbers since opening in March 2015. A lot of credit for this goes to our staff for maintaining a great vibe with locals and visitors.”

The franchised club employs six fully-qualified personal trainers with over 30 years of combined industry experience, experienced in specialised training and strength and conditioning for weight loss.

Visitors to Queenstown can also enjoy the facility and equipment using a reciprocal membership agreement with Snap Fitness clubs from around the globe.

Personal trainers themselves, Monkley and Mumford moved to Queenstown to launch the franchise as a natural progression for their careers, alongside fitness enthusiast Parsonage who co-owns several businesses around New Zealand.

The 420 metre² gym is open 24 hours a day, offering state-of-the-art equipment and an online service with access to personalised workouts and meal plans, inspiring e-books and helpful tips.

The Landing consists of 19 shops adjacent to Remarkables Park Town Centre’s 55-plus businesses, Queenstown Airport and the newly-opened Ramada Hotel, in an area widely regarded as the new commercial and retail hub of the Queenstown Lakes district. It has been designed with ample customer car parks with spacious green surrounds and relaxing gardens for al fresco dining, boasting panoramic views of The Remarkables mountain range.

The Landing’s Company Director Lindsay Williams said Snap Fitness had demonstrated that a premium location combined with world-class facilities and first class customer service proved a successful formula time and again.

Williams added “congratulations to Snap Fitness on its remarkable achievement in being recognised as one of the best Snap Fitness clubs out of 3000 worldwide.”
