Community Leisure Management announces Kirsty Knowles as shareholder and Director

Auckland-based facility manager Community Leisure Management (CLM) has announced Kirsty Knowles - a key member of its senior management team for a number of years - as a shareholder and Director of the company.

With over 16 years of industry experience, Knowles has developed a key set of skills and expertise that make her an asset to not only CLM, years contributing heavily to the strategic direction of the company as well as proactively working on new business opportunities for the business.

Her industry contribution was acknowledged last week at the Recreation Aotearoa 2019 awards where she received the much coveted Paul Stuart Memorial Award, recognising her outstanding commitment and contribution to facilities.

Excited to have her joining the board to contribute further to the strategic direction of the company, John Latimer, CLM Managing Director, stated “Kirsty has developed a strong reputation for herself both within CLM and in the recreation. She sets the highest standards for operational performance, and is demanding of herself and others in meeting those standards, but always with a positive attitude and good humour.

“From a CLM point of view, it is exceedingly satisfying to have watched Kirsty develop into somebody who is a highly valued member of both the leadership and governance group”.

Last week Knowles joined the CLM team celebrating success at both the Recreation Aotearoa Awards where the CLM Manged Lido Aquatic Centre won the 2019 Outstanding Pool of the year and at the Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand (EVANZ) annual awards, where the CLM-managed Trafalgar Centre was awarded the accolade of 2019 Pixel Medium Venue of the Year.

Operating for over 20 years CLM manages facilities from Whangarei in the North to Nelson and Richmond in the South, works in local communities and delivers Tertiary University papers.
