Latimer to continue as NZRA President

In advance of the New Zealand Recreation Association (NZRA)âs AGM during its upcoming National Conference, it has been confirmed that current NZRA John Latimer will continue to lead the Association for another year.

Latimer, a Director of Community Leisure Management (CLM), has been President of the NZRA since 2006.

In 1995, Latimer was one of the co-founders of CLM, which today employs over 500 full and part-time employees at 27 leisure facilities in New Zealand.

This year's 2008 New Zealand Recreation Association (NZRA) conference is linking with 2008 International Federation of Park and Recreation Administration Asia Pacific Congress.

The joint congress/conference is being held from 16th to 18th September in Christchurch, with the theme Making Connections â Make a Difference.

The NZRA AGM will be held at 4.30pm on Wednesday 17th September at the Christchurch Convention Centre.

John Latimer is interviewed in the September/October 2008 issue of Australasian Leisure Management.
