CLM enjoys a week of success in Rotorua
Facility managers CLM have achieved a remarkable level of success this week at the 2018 New Zealand Recreation Association (NZRA) Waves Conference and The 2018 AUSTSWIM’s Aotearoa Awards.
The week commenced with CLM's SwimMagic swimming school division enjoying a fantastic night at the 2018 AUSTSWIM Aotearoa Awards.
Kirstie Nash from Massey Park Pool won the 2018 AUSTSWIM Aotearoa Teacher of Infant and Preschool Award, Jeni Tamboer from Whangarei Aquatic Centre won the 2018 AUSTSWIM Aotearoa Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety and Lisa Stove from Richmond Aquatic Centre won the 2018 AUSTSWIM Aotearoa Presenter of the Year.
Commenting on this success, a CLM spokesperson advised “these awards are a great recognition for the outstanding work each of these stars have done over a number of years in their respective communities.”
CLM's winning week continued at the NZRA Waves Conference in Rotorua.
Team CLM took out The Lifeguard Team of the Year award for the second year running with team members from across the country including Whangarei Aquatic Centre, Otahuhu Pool and Leisure Centre, Riverside Pool and Richmond Aquatic Centre and Point Erin Pool.
Kanae Atsumi also won a Merit award in the Lifeguard of the Year Competition, described as a “fantastic acknowledgement for her dedication and commitment”.
CLM Chief Executive Craig Carter is extremely proud of the achievements over the last week, stating “the success our team has received over the last week is an acknowledgment to many hours of dedication across a number of years, CLM is privileged to have a team of such talented professionals across our network. We strive to be the leaders in leisure and recreation in New Zealand and these awards highlight our commitment to achieving this. ”
Operating for over 20 years CLM manages facilities, works in local communities and delivers Tertiary University papers from Whangarei in the North to Nelson and Richmond in the south.
The Waves Conference saw organisations with aquatic industry roles in New Zealand combine the New Zealand Recreation Association’s JAWS (Just Add Water Seminar), the AUSTSWIM Aotearoa Conference and the New Zealand Lifeguard Championships together for the first time.
