Clublinks has announced their appointment as manager of Western Australia’s new $14 million Toodyay Recreation Centre which includes an outdoor 25 metre swimming pool with leisure pool, a multi-purpose sporting pitch, four netball and basketball courts, four tennis courts and a pavilion with change rooms.

The new integrated complex will provide a community and sporting hub for Toodyay's 4,500 residents. It is also located adjacent to Toodyay District High School, providing an easy-to-access fitness and social outlet for local young people. A learn to swim program will be established in the outdoor pool, offering important lifesaving skills to many in the local area.

The Shire of Toodyay has engaged Clublinks to manage, market and grow the facility, with the goal of making it an accessible and vibrant community space.

Clublinks Chief Executive, Anthony Lawrence is elated by the opportunity to manage such a significant regional precinct and notes “it’s a privilege to be given the opportunity to manage such a newly established sporting precinct and provide unique and tailored sporting options to the community.

“We look forward to creating new local jobs and providing access to all. With learn to swim being so important in Australia, it’s fantastic to be able to offer this life saving skill to the community. We will work in partnership with the Shire of Toodyay to ‘shine bright’ locally.”

Shire of Toodyay President, Rosemary Madacsi enthused about Clublink’s appointment stating “in a time where community sport is key, it’s great to have such a vast and unique space all in the one area. We are delighted to partner with Clublinks and give the people of Toodyay and surrounding areas, the opportunity for new fitness options including aquatics.”

The Toodyay Recreation Centre will open its doors to the community in October 2020 with an official opening celebration planned for 21st November 2020.
