City Venue Management opens first Fish N Flips swim school

City Venue Management has launched its first Fish N Flips facility, an all new, play-based swim school located in the south east Brisbane suburb of Underwood.

Offering a different perspective to swimming lessons, Fish N Flips says it offers a “fun and vibrant alternative to your run of the mill swim school”.

Created by a team with decades of swim school experience, the school is inclusive of all walks of life and utilises creativity, imagination and the latest play-based learning techniques to help children and families enjoy a life-long love of safe swimming.

Explaining the opening of Fish N Flips, which operates under City Venue Management, Fish N Flips General Manager -Marketing, Roger Hawke, says the timing of the new centre’s opening could not have been better and he looks forward to welcoming the Underwood community.

Hawke advised “we are so excited to launch a new swim school where families of all backgrounds and abilities will have access to high-quality swimming lessons.

“With summer right around the corner, there is still ample time for children to catch up on swimming lessons and build their water confidence before summer.

“It has been a disruptive couple of years so far for those in the early stages of their swimming and we are looking forward to helping them get back on track - it’s not too late.”

Advising that Fish N Flips uses play-based learning and places a strong focus on accessibility, Hawke added “delivering on our commitment to inclusivity, we’ve made our communications fun yet simple to ensure our customers who speak English as a second language can comfortably navigate our programs.

“Our mission is to provide a different perspective to swimming lessons through play-based, fun and vibrant lessons. Most importantly, offering an opportunity for children to learn new swim safety skills in an exciting, imaginative, and nurturing environment.

Contributing to the region’s growing workforce, the new swim school will create more than 20 local jobs.

Hawke concluded “as one of the fastest growing areas in Logan and throughout Queensland, we know Underwood will be an exceptional home for Fish N Flips.

“All children should have the opportunity to learn to swim and at Fish N Flips, there are fantastic opportunities for everyone.
