City of Whittlesea appoints Belgravia Leisure to manage major aquatic and recreation facilities
The City of Whittlesea has appointed Belgravia Leisure as the facility managers for its aquatic and recreation centres - Mill Park Leisure, Thomastown Recreation and Aquatic Centre and Whittlesea Swim Centre.
Advising that the new contract had significant community benefits for the one million visitors who attend the centres each year, Chair Administrator Lydia Wilson stated “the appointment promises to deliver efficiencies and benefits to community by ensuring services are accessible and inclusive to all people and enhancing participation by offering a diverse range of program and activities.”
Belgravia Leisure will engage with the community to develop a wide range of exercise programs to ensure residents of all ages and at all stages of their life have access to health and wellbeing initiatives.
Belgravia Leisure’s programming will have a particular focus on older adults, children, women and girls, people with a disability and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds through community programs including the successful learn-to-swim initiative.
