Belgravia Leisure to launch new fitness and active recreation concept at East Fremantle Community Park

Belgravia Leisure to launch new B Active health club and active recreation concept at East Fremantle Community Park

East Fremantle will be home to a brand-new, state-of-the-art health club, active recreation and community sport concept opening in Autumn 2024.

B Active, located at East Fremantle Community Park, will live up to its name and promises to get more of the community active and moving more, helping everyone find at least 30 minutes of activity in their day, five times a week.

The facility will offer amenities and services to cater to its diverse clientele, including state-of-the-art gym equipment such as cardio machines, free weights and functional and resistance training. Also on offer will be Reformer Pilates, group exercise, a cycle studio and small group functional training through their Connect30 program.

With over 75 classes scheduled in over 1000 metre² of light and airy space, members will feel inspired to get moving.

Managed by Belgravia Leisure a focus of inclusivity and fostering a sense of belonging and well-being will ensure this facility will thrive as a community hub.

Thrilled to see this project come to life, Belgravia Leisure Chief Executive, Nick Cox stated "what will set B Active East Fremantle apart from other fitness centre is its strong community focus. Whether its charity runs, fitness challenges, or social mixers, B Active will create a welcoming atmosphere that goes beyond the typical gym experience.

“We are proud to manage the day-to-day operations of this amazing facility, and we look forward to working with the East Fremantle community to ensure we are catering to their health and wellbeing needs.”

The health club will host regular events and social gatherings, encouraging members to connect and support one another on their fitness and wellbeing journeys. The venue is strategically situated at the new East Fremantle Community Park, which will also open at the same time. The park will offer many opportunities to encourage movement and activity for all ages such as:

• A first-class sporting facility for football, lawn bowls and croquet
• An open oval for community and club use (when not in use by the East Fremantle Football Club)
• An all-abilities playground
• An outdoor basketball 1/2 court
• A skate zone
• An enclosed dog exercise park

In addition, East Fremantle Community Park will be home to a cafe, restaurant, bar and a function and meeting space overlooking the grounds. This will bring the community together over a coffee, a meal or through celebration. Plans are also in place to activate the area with fantastic community activities such as school holiday programs, early morning yoga or outdoor cinemas.

The Team at B Active and Belgravia Leisure will host a community consultation session in the coming months.  It will be an opportunity to hear from the local community, to learn about what they’d like to see in this space.

Additionally, many job opportunities will be available and anyone interested can register for updates via the website to keep up to date.
