Chris Styring named new Head of Commercial at W Sports & Media

Melbourne-based sports marketing agency W Sports & Media has appointed experienced commercial sales and strategic management consultant, Chris Styring as its new Head of Commercial.

Styring has more than 25 years of experience working with ventures including Williams Formula One, English Premier League, Tennis Australia, surfing, cricket, thoroughbred racing and Supercars.

In these roles he negotiated multimillion dollar deals and represented some of the most recognisable global athletes.

For the last three years he has worked as the Chief Commercial Officer of digital publishing platform, e-Mersion Media. There Styring landed deals with major international brands and organisations including Formula One, Liverpool Football Club and German airline, Lufthansa.

Announcing the appointment, W Sports & Media Chief Executive, Steve Baldas said his agency had seen significant growth over the past year so Styring’s appointment would help take the business up a level.

He added that Styring (pictured) would be instrumental in sourcing commercial opportunities for WSM talent, maximising outcomes for commercial partners, and helping to expand the company’s global footprint.
