Queensland Rugby League appoints Gemba to develop data strategy
The Queensland Rugby League (QRL) has announced its appointment of sports marketing and entertainment agency Gemba to help it leverage its data.
The arrangement will see Gemba develop a data strategy for the QRL that it claims will support improved commercial outcomes, boost fan experiences and drive efficiencies in business operations.
QRL Chief Executive, Rohan Sawyer said data was a critical asset and that the league needed to be better at collecting, managing and leveraging it to arrive at the best business outcomes.
Sawyer added that Gemba understood QRL’s requirements and brings deep expertise in data strategy and analytics to the partnership.
The arrangement marks the second item of new work picked up by Gemba recently, following its appointment by the Western United A-League club to develop a fan engagement and membership growth strategy.
