CERM PI team releases latest industry performance bulletin
The CERM Performance Indicators® Project at the Centre for Tourism & Leisure Management, University of South Australia has recently published its latest Bulletin (Vol 20, ISSN 1320 2359) consisting of results from CERM's annual Benchmarking Survey for Australian public aquatic, recreation and sport centres.
The 2011 CERM PI Bulletin lists up to 61 operational management benchmarks for each of three groupings of public 'dry' recreation and sport centres, and three groupings for public aquatic centres.
Data for the benchmarks was provided by 137 centres from throughout Australia for the 2010/11 financial year (including nine new centres). The 61 benchmarks cover the following categories of facility operational management: finance, services, marketing, staff, facility maintenance, utilities, membership, and equipment. While the CERM PI (performance indicators) project for Australian public aquatic, recreation and sport centres is now in its 22nd year, the latest CERM PI Bulletin marks 20 years of annual benchmarks being available to the industry.
CERM PI is a research project in the Centre for Tourism & Leisure Management, School of Management, at the University of South Australia.
