Ceramic Solutions equips Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing Centre
Ceramic Solutions have outlined their input to the new $31 million Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing centre in Bendigo, designed by Peddle Thorp Architects.
Featuring a 51.5 metre pool, a hydrotherapy/warm water pool and spa, splash play and learn to swim pool, change facilities, wellbeing centre, reception, café, multipurpose ‘dry’ rooms, as well as a gym and fitness area.
Supplied by Ceramic Solutions, FINA approved Malmsten laneropes were used throughout the facility. Made in Sweden, they have a flow through design with excellent water turbulence control.
In the 50 metre pool, a Stark Bulkhead was installed to create a truly versatile swimming facility with the Stark Bulkhead design not impeding upon concourse and causing no damage to wet deck or surrounds.
Quality Spectrum starting platforms were installed in the facility. With a single post, these starting platforms can accommodate any gutter and deck configuration. They also have a patented no wobble anchoring system, high quality stainless steel and flexibility in design.
Ceramic Solutions also supplied and installed all tiling in the facility choosing the purpose manufactured Chroma Plural tiles from Agrob Buchtal. Basis 2+ was chosen for the concourse floors due to its great slip resistant characteristics.
Specialised corner and edge pieces were also utilised throughout the facility to ensure smooth rounded edges on all tiling features. Inside the pool Plural mosaic in sphere cool was used for underwater seating.
