Bendigo's Gurri Wanyarra Wellness Centre gets official opening
Bendigo’s new $32.2 million aquatic, recreation and wellness facility, the Gurri Wanyarra Wellness Centre is being officially opened this weekend.
The new facility features a 50 metre, eight-lane swimming pool, beach entry leisure pool, a learn-to-swim pool, aquatic playground, warm water exercise pool and spas, a steam room and sauna, a gym and group fitness rooms, a childcare and multipurpose room, fitness centre and a cafe.
Located in Kangaroo Flat, almost 1200 people have signed up to various membership packages at the new facility.
Introducing the facility, City of Greater Bendigo Mayor Margaret O’Rourke stated “Gurri Wanyarra is an incredible one-stop-shop for recreation, health and wellbeing. It caters for people of all ages and abilities.”
