Bowral Pool opens for summer swim season

Welcoming the outdoor summer swim season, Wingecarribee Shire Council has this week opened the Bowral Swimming Centre to the public.

Opened as of the past Monday (10th October) the facility will operate until Sunday 26th March 2023.

Wingecarribee Shire Council’s Supervisor Pools and Facilities, James Borbone said the pool was the perfect place to enjoy the warmer months, commenting “we have two outdoor swimming pools, a covered toddler and wading pool, a fully equipped kiosk and shaded grassy areas that are perfect for picnics.”

Operating hours will be:

  • 6am to 6pm weekdays

  • 8.30am to 6pm on Saturdays

  • 9.30am to 6pm on Sundays

Borbone pointed out that should patronage fall below 10 people and the weather is not conducive to swimming, staff may close the pool an hour early.

The Council will open its Bundanoon Swimming Centre as of Saturday 12th November 2022.

New for the 2022/23 swim season is an unlimited Adult Season pass. This new unlimited entry pass supersedes the previous 50-visit pass and can be used at both outdoor Swimming Centres. A 20 multi-visit season pass is also available.

Its Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre is open all year.

Both of the outdoor swimming centres are heated to 24 degrees Celsius.
