Bollywood theme park opens

A large visitor attraction showcasing Indian cinema and culture has opened in Gurgaon, in the northern Indian state of Haryana.

Called Kingdom of Dreams, the six-acre complex mixes live entertainment and shows with cinematic exhibitions, art, culture and cuisine.

The park is a joint venture between events management firm Wizcraft and a Delhi-based real estate company.

The owners are aiming to offer âall the delights of Indiaâ in one place, benefiting from the increasing popularity of the Bollywood phenomena both in India and abroad.

At the centre of the development is an 850-seat ShowShaa theatre and entertainment centre, which can host live shows and stage productions as well as screened events.

There is also an indoor promenade, fully air conditioned and with a Las Vegas-style fake sky, featuring restaurants and retail outlets.
