BIG4 Forbes Holiday Park welcomes returning travellers as roads re-open

Bouncing back from recent floods, the BIG4 Forbes Holiday Park is encouraging travellers to show their support for the township and visit Forbes.

While the recent flooding temporarily affected access to the town, most roads have re-opened and Forbes is welcoming guests back.

While the Newell Highway remains closed in one small section, the quaint Central West town of Forbes can be accessed via a short detour along Henry Lawson Drive, which will take travellers through the picturesque and historic township of Grenfell, home to the birthplace of Australian writer and bush poet, Henry Lawson.

Ali Plummer, owner-operator at BIG4 Forbes Holiday Park explains that Forbes is a perfect country stopover explains “with its friendly, country hospitality, historic buildings and the beautiful Lake Forbes, the town is an excellent and relaxed stopover for travellers of all ages.

“While the flooding has hit the town hard, we want people to know that Forbes is very much open for business and people can still come and enjoy everything Forbes has to offer.”

Plummer also encourages travellers to enjoy the detour through Grenfell, adding “Grenfell is a beautiful town that’s worth visiting so it’s the perfect opportunity to take the short detour along the road to see more of the Central West’s charm.”

The pet friendly Holiday Park has a range of accommodation options for all types of travellers from unpowered sites through to villas sleeping up to seven people.
