Belgravia Kids opens first facility in Melbourne’s Hoppers Crossing

The Belgravia Group’s new Belgravia Kids initiative has opened its first facility in the Western Melbourne suburb of Hoppers Crossing.

Branded as BK Gymnastics, the new facility is part of the Belgravia Group’s aim to create turn-key facilities and programs in the heart of fast growing areas in the outer suburbs of Australia’s major cities - which often lack aquatic, recreation and sport facilities.

While the new Hoppers Crossing facility currently focuses on gymnastics, the BK Gym and Swim brand aims to provide learn-to-swim and gymnastics in its facilities – with a pool to be added to the first facility in the near future.

Co-located as part of the Grange P-12 College, the first BK Gym facility has been backed by a $5.35 million loan to the Belgravia Group through the Victorian Government’s Community Sports Infrastructure Loan scheme.

Based on Belgravia Group founder, Chief Executive and Chair Geoff Lord’s vision to “positively impact the lives of a million Aussie kids each year through physical activity”, BK Gym and Swim will have six facilities by the middle of year, with other sites to open in Queensland, NSW and Western Australia.

At that time, the initiative will be reaching 200,000 children a significant milestone in the Group’s #onemillionkidsactive objective.

In a LinkedIn post, Belgravia Kids Swim Chief Executive Mark Collins advised “(it is) great to see the vision come to life and seeing kids being active.

“A big thank you to our partner, The Grange P-12 College and the wider Belgravia Group in helping us get to this milestone.”

The new facility is also the largest installation for new NovoFit product line NovoActive, which includes innovative gymnastics equipment.

Across its various brands, the Belgravia Group is in the process of developing 18 new sites.
