Australia’s Largest Martial Arts Facility relocates to improved centre
Bujutsu Martial Arts and Fitness Centre has relocated their Western Sydney headquarters to an improved and larger facility.
The 2250 metre² facility located in Smeaton Grange offers nine different styles of martial arts, four different types of fitness classes, personal training plus a full commercial gym providing free weights, pin loaded machines and cardio machines.
Described by international Martial Artists as the best facility they have seen anywhere in the world the martial arts facility accommodates 59 punching bags, an Olympic size boxing ring, cage, three large training floors and every piece of equipment you could imagine.
The facility has been equipped with a range of custom made Nautilus Strength and a full Star Trac cardio equipment fit out.
The fitness equipment fit out was provider Summit Fitness’ first major fit out since taking on the Nautilus Brand (along with all Core Health and Fitness Brands: Star Trac, Stairmaster and Schwinn) late last year.
Summit Fitness General Manager Melanie Harding is delighted with the result stating “the project was a really exciting venture for us. It was our first fully custom Nautilus install and enabled us to provide a complete facility fit out tailored to the Bujutsu brand.
“We used the full Nautilus Inspiration range - previously manufactured as Star Trac - but with new Nautilus features enabling us to fully customise the entire frame colours to our clients brand, and incorporate their logo in the shroud.
“The result is stunning (with) a vibrant and incredible deep blue throughout the gym floor, which just commands visual attention as you walk into the facility.”
The Bujutsu Martial Arts and Fitness centre was founded by former police officer Sensei Mark Szalajko. As a Detective Superintendent Commander, Sensei Szalajko was forced to use his martial arts skills on numerous occasions.
As a result, he knows what works and what doesn’t work in real life situations. After training in various styles of Martial Arts under different instructors, he decided to open his own centre based on his experiences.
The centre, one of three Bujutsu Martial Arts and Fitness facilities in Western Sydney, is now a world class facility and the largest full-time Martial Arts School in Australia.
The Bujutsu Martial Arts and Fitness centre offers classes in Karate/Self Defence, Muay Thai Kickboxing, BJJ, Kudo, MMA, Judo, Okinawan Weapons, Sword, Arnis, Jodo Bootcamp, Boxing for Fitness, Cage Fitness and Tabata.
They also offer the weight and cardio room to parents while their children are in classes.
Bujutsu Martial Arts and Fitness received a Fitness Australia Silver Quality Award in 2013.
