Australian Strength and Conditioning Association to take 2013 conference to the MCG
The Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) will stage its 2013 International Conference on Applied Strength and Conditioning at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from Friday 8th November to Sunday 10th November.
This will be the first time the ASCA has hosted the event in Melbourne, with ASCA President Dr Daniel Baker explaining "the MCG's rich heritage and sporting history and modern conference facilities make it an ideal location for our Conference, allowing us to continue to provide a relaxed and intimate learning environment with plenty of networking opportunities.
"The Conference will deliver delegates knowledge and hands-on experience with the latest in strength and conditioning research, theory, technology and practise. The 2013 speaker set is at the cutting edge of the industry, and will present across a diverse range of topics.
"The Tactical Strength and Conditioning Australia - TSACA - stream will again feature as part of the broader Conference Program. This fascinating and fast growing specialist field will see trainers and coaches working with tactical operators sharing their unique experience and expertise."
ASCA is the professional development body for strength and conditioning coaches in Australia, representing over 6,000 accredited strength and conditioning coaches of athletes and teams from school and club levels through to Olympic and professional levels.
The annual Conference will enter its ninth consecutive year in 2013 and is renowned throughout the Australian and International strength and conditioning communities for bringing together the best presenters and most relevant, up-to-the-minute topics, including practical hands-on workshops.
For the fourth consecutive year the ASCA is pleased to partner with major event sponsor Edith Cowan University (ECU) to put together a successful Conference.
Blue Fitness are also a conference sponsor.
The Conference will feature Keynote Presentations, Practical Workshops and Roundtable Sessions. The carefully selected speakers are at the forefront of research and training for athletic performance.
