Developing business in exercise and sport science
Exercise & Sport Science Australia (ESSA) is to present its first ever business summit, covering all aspects of owning a sports science business, from legal to accounting, working with Medicare and the Department of Veterans Affairs as well as marketing, wages and subcontracting.
The summit, to be held on 18th and 19th May at the Novotel Wollongong Northbeach, will be addressed by experts in business to assist delegates to 'Start Smart, Grow Strong (and) be a Front Runner'.
In developing the event, ESSA explain "we are working with the best people within their own fields with an understanding of owning and working within an allied health business and all that comes with it."
Keynote presenter for the event is Brent Collier, Director of Peak Health and the Specialist Sports Medicine Centre.
As the Director of Peak Health, one of Sydney's leading Physiology clinics, Collier's unique approach has helped improve patient outcomes by applying evidence based rehabilitation to all walks of life. Collier also consults with a number of specialists, ranging from Sports Medicine, orthopedics, rheumatologists and varied allied health professionals.
