Australian Racing Conference debates the importance of 'The Business of Racing'
The three day Australian Racing Conference (ARC) starts today at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Melbourne, promising a packed program of presentations from world class and industry
leaders who will discuss and debate the importance of 'The Business of Racing'.
Being held in Victoria for the first time, the fourth edition of conference is already a 'sold out' event, with a full delegate list of racing administrators, track managers, owners, breeders and general racing enthusiasts.
In addition to the full conference program, delegates will have the opportunity to network with like-minded people from around the country.
Hosted by Racing Victoria, the organisers stress that "the importance of the Racing Industry to the social and economic well being of Australia can not be under estimated.
"With some 370 Clubs throughout the country conducting over 18,000 races annually, employing in excess of 50,000 people and creating $5 billion in gross domestic product."
A highlight of the conference will be the Hall of Fame Dinner on Thursday evening for all delegates.
The ARC will culminate in a social day at the Caulfield races featuring the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes.
Enquiries should be directed to the ARC Registration Office on 1300 139 401.
