Australasian Leisure Management announces landmark partnership with Royal Life Saving Australia

Royal Life Saving Society and Australasian Leisure Management have announced a partnership that will benefit Guidelines for Safe Pool Operation (GSPO) subscribers.

Confirmed today at Royal Life Saving’s National Aquatics Infrastructure Symposium in Melbourne, the GSPO subscriber benefit will see GSPO subscribers receive a complementary subscription to the Australasian Leisure Management magazine and twice-weekly newsletter - the industry’s leading resource for insights, trends, and best practices across aquatics, recreation, fitness, sport and venue management.

This exclusive benefit provides GSPO subscribers with;

  • Industry-leading news & updates relevant to your field

  • Expert insights & research to help shape best practices

  • Case studies & innovations in leisure facility management

  • Published Research and Articles from Royal Life Saving Australia

Commenting on the partnership, RJ Houston, General Manager - Capability & Industry at Royal Life Saving Australia, said the partnership with Australasian Leisure Management enhances communication across the aquatic, recreation, and drowning prevention sectors, stating “Royal Life Saving is pleased to support ALM’s efforts in enhancing communication across the aquatics, sport, leisure, and recreation communities.

“This partnership provides a valuable platform to share our research, policies, programs, and events with colleagues and supporters.

“We appreciate the opportunity to contribute to each other’s work.”

Welcoming the link, Australasian Leisure Management Publisher, Nigel Benton noted “partnerships with the industry’s leading organisations has always been key to the success of Australasian Leisure Management.

“Linking with Royal Life Saving and having the magazine and its contents shared with GSPO subscribers only gives us more impetus to publish news and features that these readers will value.

“The aquatic industry and its many components - aquatic fitness, facility management, swim coaching, swim schools and water safety education - has always been a massive part of what we cover and having this expanded group of readers gives us encouragement in delivering relevant and valuable content.”

Royal Life Saving believes this resource will provide valuable knowledge and support for GSPO subscribers' work. If subscribers prefer not to receive the magazine or newsletter, they may opt out at any time by contacting subscribe@ausleisure.com.au.

The GSPO
Maintained by Royal Life Saving since 1992, the GSPO is a set of detailed specifications and recommendations establishing best practice design and operations of aquatic locations nationwide.
