AUSactive appoints Mel Tempest to advocacy role
AUSactive has announced the appointment of Mel Tempest, owner of the Ballarat Body & Soul Genesis 24/7 gym and the creator of the Gym Owners Fitness Business Podcast, who it inducted into its industry Roll of Honour in October last year, into an advocacy role in its work as a peak body.
Commenting on her new role, Tempest advised “I am incredibly honoured to announce that I have accepted a position with AUSactive Australia. As many of you know, I have a deep passion for the health and fitness industry, and now on a national and global scale, I get to work alongside independent club owners, franchisors, suppliers, and global organisations with an intense agenda to provide stronger relationships, opportunities and benefits for the Australian fitness industry.
“I believe the more opportunities and benefits available, the stronger the growth for business owners.
“With many projects on my mind, I see this as an exciting time in our industry with the opportunity for club owners and suppliers to become involved.
“I will remain actively involved on a daily basis with my club; I will continue to run business and group fitness events, podcasts and speaking engagements.”
