Melbourne event to support women in fitness

In a new innovation for the fitness industry in Melbourne, this Friday will see the staging of the Ignite Women's Gym and Fitness Business event.

Following on from past Ignite Fitness events, Ignite Women's Gym and Fitness Business aims to equip women with the knowledge and tools to set up new business models, strategies and marketing to support female-oriented fitness programs as well as women working in the industry.

Panels and keynote presentations will explain issues in the highly competitive market while sessions will also introduce new initiatives in outdoor training, ‘Menofitness’ and the new #OATS active ageing program for over 55s.

It will also cover business owner specific issues including setting up and understanding superannuation, property and taxation in the fitness industry.

IGNITE founder Mel Tempest (pictured) explains “industry trailblazers, mavens, pioneers, innovators and ground-breakers are invited to join like-minded leaders and trendsetters who are passionate about doing things differently.

“We have new business concepts that are easy to follow and implement into any size business and we have some strategies for you to become stronger financially.

Being held on Friday 23rd August at the Intercontinental Melbourne the Rialto and will also feature networking opportunities for personal trainers, gym owners, franchised clubs and fitness suppliers.

Tempest adds that the Ignite Women's Gym and Fitness Business will “leave delegates with strategies to help build stronger foundations in their current businesses, possible start-ups, in their place of employment and on their personal lives.
