Attractions Academy’s Shaun McKeogh receives IAAPA Service Award

Audit, risk and compliance auditor Shaun McKeogh has been acknowledged by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) with the 2024/25 IAAPA Service Award Asia Pacific.

Serving the global attractions industry through training services, organisational development and operations consultancy, Attractions Academy’s mission is to deliver leadership support and an improved culture of safety, service excellence delivery and an engaged workforce.

McKeogh’s experience in the amusement and attractions Industry as consultant, operator and planner has enabled him to gain a wealth of attractions industry knowledge over the past 25 years planning and preparing new businesses for operations, building strong, engaged and safe workplace cultures, impacting job performance, quality service excellence delivery, efficiency and productivity.

His expertise lies in attraction planning, operations, organisational development, employee engagement and service excellence delivery.

A past Chair of the IAAPA Asia Pacific Education Committee and IAAPA Global Human Resources Committee, Member of IAAPA Asia Pacific Advisory Committee, McKeogh has contributed to the success of the Brass Ring Awards, the IAAPA Show Ambassador program.

Commenting on receiving the award, McKeogh (pictured) reflected "you don’t give of your time and service to develop others so that you can be recognised but being unexpectedly recognised with this honour reminds me of the immense number of really fun and loving people throughout the Asia Pacific Region that have allowed me to be part of their industry journey.”

Presented in Germany during the IAAPA Expo Europe earlier this month, McKeogh's award was present as part of IAAPA's 2024-2025 Inspiration, Service and Young Professional Awards.

The presentation also saw other professionals from Australasia and Asia acknowledged for their achievements.

IAAPA Honours is an annual global awards event celebrating excellence in the attractions industry. Attendees will learn from award winners, hear inspiring words from subject matter experts, explore behind-the scenes of Europa-Park, and network with fellow industry peers.
