Asian FLOW Tour returns for 2017

With successive runs of the Flowboarding League of the World (FLOW) Tour events having been held in Asia since 2011, the 2017 edition of the series will be returning to venues in Thailand and Singapore through August and September.

The seventh consecutive year of the Asia Flow Tour will commence at Wave House Sentosa in Singapore on Saturday 12th August, before heading to Flow House, Bangkok on 26th August and Cartoon Network Amazone on 12th September.

The Asian Grand Final will be held at Vana Nava Hua Tin, Thailand on 22nd and 23rd September when the top riders from the participating venues will compete to earn the title of Asian FLOW Champions.

The champions will then take on a bigger challenge as the will be flown to the 2017 FlowRider World Flowboarding Championships at Aqua World Cancun in Mexico.

Competing in respective divisions (Pro Men’s Flowboard, Pro Women’s Flowboard, Pro Mixed Bodyboard), in categories from youth to masters and amateur to pro, participants will be looking for recognition  as the top FLOW Tour rider.

The event is sponsored by FlowRider, the wave-generator brand by waterpark attractions, with other events taking place in the United States, Canada and Europe

FLOW Tour coordinator Adam Muller explains “the FLOW Tour encourages all participants to enter the competition.

Facilities, including resorts and waterparks, with FlowRider attractions installed were invited to participate in the tour.

Muller added “we aim to host as many competitions as we can each season.

“We don’t like to leave any venues out that are interested in supporting the sport and attraction.”

None of Australia’s FlowRider venues are participating in the Tour.
