Yas Waterworld named Asia’s sole host for 2014 World Flowboarding Championships

Abu Dhabi waterpark Yas Waterworld will be the sole Asian host of the 2014 World Flowboarding Championships (WFC).

The award winning waterpark, which features both a FlowRider and FlowBarrel artificial surf wave attractions, will be hosting the best flowboarders from around the world from 6th to 8th November.

Being held at Yas Waterworld for the second consecutive year, the event is being organised by Lazco Management and the FLOW (Flowboarding League of the World) Tour.

Looking forward to the event, Lazco Director Greg Lazarus stated “I am very excited to once again be working in partnership with Ryan Watkins (Marketing Director at Yas Waterworld) and Yas Waterworld.

“We are going to deliver a bigger and better event than ever before.”

The event is also to be supported by sponsors including Swatch, Oakley, GoPro and Crowne Plaza.

The FLOW Tour is flowboarding's premier competitive tour featuring some of the world's best riders. Tour events also focus on the grass roots of flowboarding, providing a platform for riders to enter competitions at any level and learn the fundamentals en route to the top.
