AMPSEA launches National Events Calendar for mass participation events
Aiming to bring together mass participation sporting events across multiple categories from around the country, the Australian Mass Participation Sporting Events Alliance (AMPSEA) has launched its National Events Calendar.
Launched at AMPSEA’s third annual conference last week, the National Events Calendar has been designed to provide a single source of events for athletes to plan their calendars but also support event organisers by providing them with an additional platform to promote and showcase their events.
In developing the Calendar, AMPSEA has partnered with events platform ECal to offer this central source of information for athletes and event organisers alike, while also helping to promote and nurture mass participation sporting events the country.
Advising of the initiative, AMPSEA explained “following feedback from the 2023 AMPSEA Conference, it was a common theme amongst attendees that there didn’t seem to be a calendar including all mass participation type events across the country.
“AMPSEA directors got together and have partnered with ECAL to create and deliver this necessary product for the industry.”
It’s key benefits and purposes include:
Business to customer - linking through with registration platforms to drive signups and participation
Business to business - suppliers are able to follow a calendar of events to assist with their resourcing and client leads
Business to business - event organisers will have clear awareness of events happening across the country on any given date
AMPSEA members are able to access a free account to list their events, which then will feed through to ECAL’s National Events Calendar.
A free account includes up to 1,000 user subscriptions, up to 100 schedules (unlimited events), custom displays and basic analytics.
ECAL are at the forefront of the mass participation industry, working with major sporting codes around the world to publish their fixtures.
AMPSEA went on to explain “a big benefit of working with ECAL is that people can sync the calendar with their Google/Outlook calendars to have all that information readily available, plus in the back end you can access data of people who are subscribing and downloading the calendars.”
