AMPSEA releases program for upcoming National Conference

The Australian Mass Participation Sporting Events Alliance (AMPSEA) has released the full program for its 2024 National Conference - being staged on Tuesday 26th November at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium - with speakers from across the industry set to deliver presentations on topics including technology in sport, event case studies and risk.

Among presentations, Shannan Gove, Managing Director of Rosterfy, will chart the rise of Rosterfy from a start-up to a top 20 growth company. Gove will also cover the topic of trends in volunteering with key learnings from both London and Chicago Marathons.

In addition, Ben Muldoon, Director of Operations - APAC, for Conference sponsor Race Roster will share trends and data from the events industry.

Other Conference topics and speakers include:

  • Sydney Marathon, a Case Study - Wayne Larden, Chief Executive of Pont 3

  • Australia’s Rise as a Sports technology Powerhouse - John Perisco, Australian Sports Commission advisor and Executive Director of Sports Tech Partners and the Sports Tech College

  • Launch of the ECAL-powered AMPSEA National Events Calendar - Pat Barrett, founder and Managing Director, ECAL

  • Practical Risk Assessment - Craig Sheridan, Managing Director, Sheridan Consulting Group Pty Ltd

The Conference will also feature closing remarks from AMPSEA Chair Chris Heverin and a tour of Marvel Stadium before and after-event drinks.
