Adventure Park’s Christmas Festival to glow with 300,000 new lights
Victoria’s largest Christmas Lights event, the Christmas Festival of Lights, is set to return to Adventure Park from Saturday 17th November 2023 with 300,000 new light installations and entertainment for the festive season.
Open every night through December (excluding Christmas Day) The Christmas Festival of Lights brings the magic of Christmas and fairy tales to life in three million lights over a thousand light installations, live performances, theme park rides and appearances by Santa Claus.
This year will see the introduction of new Christmas animatronics show plus six massive new light installations that will illuminate Geelong’s night sky for the fifth year.
Looking forward to presenting a “sparkling wonderland”, Adventure Park Managing Director, Bree Salmon advised “creating new, mind-blowing experiences for visitors each year is the main goal for us when planning each year’s event.
“This year guests can expect to see more beautiful and immersive light installations they can walk through and capture those epic photo moments. Kids will be delighted with the new displays providing hours of Christmas themed entertainment.”
The new entertainment includes a high-flying Elf Trapeze show and a life-sized, animated musical singing show including Polar Bear characters, Santa’s Reindeer and a Magic Tree.
The Festival of Lights will also see eight theme park rides open, including Tea Cups, Air Balloons, the Crazy Coaster, Ferris Wheel, Wave Swinger, Little Buggy Speedway, Carousel and Red Baron.
Mini-golf will also be open until dark.
It will also feature live music from the South Barwon Salvation Army Band performing Christmas carols Friday and Saturday nights, and shop for a stunning Christmas gift or decoration for their tree from the new Christmas Gift Shop.
Salmon added “we see so many people return year after year to see the Christmas lights and visit Santa as part of their annual tradition.
“It’s such a magical place and we can’t wait to show our own kids all the new things this year.”
