Adventure Park Geelong reveals plans for soon-to-open triple funnel waterslide

Adventure Park Geelong, Victoria’s largest water theme park, has unveiled a new triple funnel waterslide that it will open in November.

To be known as The Tsunami, the $4 million ride will be only the second waterslide of its type in Australia and is unique to Victoria.

Marking the second stage of the park’s $8 million waterpark expansion it will be sited in the popular Tornado water ride precinct. Standing 7.5 storeys high and with a length of 172 metre, the ride will take up to four guests per raft through three fast mega funnels of menacing water rapids.

Colossal tidal waves and raging waters will swirl, twirl and suck riders down a series of high-speed water rapids, snaking tunnels and whirlpool funnels. Riders will be on the edge of their seats as they plummet 7.5 storeys down thrilling dark tunnels, catapulting up funnel walls at crashing speeds and swirling through rips.

Advising that The Tsunami will further cement the park as the ultimate go-to water park destination for Victorian families this summer, Adventure Park Geelong’s Managing Director Leanne Salmon stated “the new Tsunami ride provides visitors from near and afar the opportunity to experience a world class adrenaline-charged, monster-sized water ride that is the first of its kind in Victoria.

“What’s better than one funnel? Three high energy funnels in one lightning fast ride. It’s been custom-designed for us by Proslide, the world’s leading waterslide designers and is a very exciting addition to our existing portfolio of waterslides, action rides and all-day family attractions that keep guests coming back for more.”
