Adventure Park’s best jobs in high demand

The positive working environment at Victorian theme park Adventure Park is such that of the 250 casual staff who worked at the attraction last season, 80% have returend for 2014/15.

Adventure Park General Manager Leanne Salmon said only 60 new positions would be available this year, making for stiff competition for young hopefuls.

Salmon explains "it’s wonderful to see so many of our staff returning this season, but we look forward to welcoming some new people too – all of whom can take advantage of our great incentives like free entry to Adventure Park on their days off.

Salmon said the new positions would include ride attendants and food and beverage sales, while there is plenty of opportunity for dedicated staff to progress over time.

Ben Logan, 23, from Geelong, started out as a ride attendant four years ago and is now Park Operations Assistant.

He says it’s not surprising that so many staff choose to return year after year stating "it’s such an enjoyable place to work.

“What I love is the atmosphere, customers are enjoying themselves, having fun and that vibe rubs off on you.”

Recruitment for the 2014/15 season will take place at Adventure Park on Friday 7th November from 4pm to 6pm and on Saturday 8th November from 9am to 2pm.

Adventure Park opened last Friday (31st October) and will operate through to 12th April 2015.
