Adventure Park gets global recognition in advance of opening weekend

Adventure Park has been recognised on the world stage, with Victoria’s biggest theme and water park winning in three categories at the US-based World Waterpark Association (WWA) Wave Review awards.

The awards, which recognise marketing and promotional excellence, were presented at the World Waterpark Association Annual Symposium & Trade Show in Las Vegas, USA last week. Moreover, the presentation came as the attraction prepared for its opening day of its 2013/14 season on Friday 31st October.

Adventure Park’s Marketing Manager Jon Barr said it was wonderful to win in three of the eight categories the park entered, stating “the World Waterpark Association has members from across the globe, so it is great to win and be recognised."

Adventure Park was judged in the 100,000 to 250,000-attendance category by a panel of industry experts and took out top spot for Best Website, Best Print Marketing and Best Promotion.

Welcoming the receipt of the awards, Barr added “with Adventure Park opening its doors for the summer season this week, it’s great to be acknowledged for our engaging and colourful campaigns, which we think reflect the fun and energy of the park itself."

Adventure Park is located on the Bellarine Peninsula, just over an hour from Melbourne, and boasts a diverse array of water and land-based rides that cater for the whole family.

The attraction is also set to allow guests to make the most of Victoria's Melbourne Cup public holiday with its diverse array of water and land-based rides ready to entertain families tomorrow (Tuesday 4th November) and through to its season close on 12th April next year.
