Acquisition sees Iconic Live move into event management

Technical events production company Iconic Live has expanded into event management and corporate hospitality with the acquisition of Conference Events Group.

Explaining that the acquisition enables Iconic Live to deliver an end-to-end event solution, Iconic Live Managing Director Jordan Walsh stated "Conference Events Group offers Iconic Live an exciting opportunity to strengthen and expand our offering and deliver services at scale, while continuing the personal service we are known and respected for.

“With a range of high-profile clients including OCS Services, AT Kearney & Origin Energy, and a strong track record of 600 events in more than 23 countries, the acquisition of Conference Events Group supports our strategy to lead the market and meet the future requirements of our clients for a single provider to manage all events and conference requirements under the one roof.”

The acquisition will also establish a new Corporate Hospitality division at Iconic Live, which will deliver tailored packages for sporting experiences including the Superbowl and NBA Finals in the USA along with English Premier League fixtures.

Walsh went on to advise that "curating unparalleled event experiences is our forte so it is a logical extension for us to enter into corporate hospitality,” Walsh said. “The acquisition will enable us to deliver access to the best sporting and event experiences in Australia and New Zealand, Asia-Pacific, the USA, UK and Europe."

Ryan Hillas, founder and Chief Executive of Conference Events Group, says the acquisition represents a successful progression for the company he founded in 2013.

Hillas added “Iconic Live’s acquisition of Conference Events Group provides a major growth opportunity for both our businesses through an extended service offering for our clients.

“I’m really excited about the acquisition and the opportunities that lie ahead for us.

“As technology plays an increasingly important and pervasive role in the conferences and events experience, combining forces means we will be best placed to support clients in meeting their evolving needs going forward.”

Hillas will join existing Director Jacob Thomas in the position of Director and will lead the Corporate Hospitality and Event Management divisions of Iconic Live.
