Acquapole announces 2022 advanced instructor course
Acquapole has announced it will be conducting an advanced instructor course on 5th March for current instructors that have already completed their Level 1 Instructor Course.
The Acquapole® Advanced certification course conducted by Acquapole® Australasia is designed for instructors to learn to conduct safe and effective Acquapole® Advanced classes in the pool. During the Acquapole® Advanced course instructors will learn the next 10 holds using the Acquapole®, and how to conduct safe and exciting Acquapole® Advanced sessions. The online course will be run over Zoom and will include theory, dry land practical exercises and video demo sessions by Acquapole Australasia’s Trainers.
Instructors do not need access to a pool to complete the online training, they do however need access to an Acquapole. The participants are required to submit a practical video of them teaching a class as part of their practical assessment to obtain their certification.
Acquapole ‘Liquid Gym’
Acquapole’s ‘Liquid Gym’ offers an impressive program for all facilities and demographics which not only now uses the Acquapole in their Circuit Fusion, but also includes Liquid Jumps, Liquid Runspheres and Liquid Bikes to get a full body cross training style workout.
The Acquapoles can now be joined together by inserting a TTR clamp on two vertical Acquapoles and a third Acquapole can be easily attached in a horizontal position to create the Acquapole® Circuit Fusion.
Positioning the Acquapole® horizontally and varying the height allows you to design a multitude of different exercises for different muscle groups.
The Acquapole® Circuit Fusion allows up to six people to participate in a variety of different exercises by rotating through different stations including boxing and elastics.
Acquapole® Circuit Fusion is suitable for:
Group Circuit Classes
Personal Training Session
Sporting Groups
Integrated into regular Aqua Cardio classes as an additional station
Cross Training Workouts
Amateur and athletes
The Acquapole Liquid Jump is an aquatic trampoline that exploits the elastic force useful for co-ordination exercises and proprioceptivity. Particularly recommended for lower body toning for sports teams, athletic training, post-traumatic rehabilitation and general fitness.
The Acquapole Liquid Runsphere is suitable for all users. A perfect substitute for participants who experience difficulty running on land. The Acquapole Liquid Runsphere presents as an impressive cardio and toning tool, coupled with the resistance of the water and option of additional elastics, for athletic preparation and post-trauma functional rehabilitation. Like no other aquatic treadmill on the market, the Liquid Runsphere mat is made up of spheres that allow omnidirectional movement.
The Acquapole Liquid Bike is perfect for both toning and cardio in the water. Particularly recommended for toning the lower parts of the body, sports teams for athletic preparation and post-trauma rehabilitation.
This style of training is extremely popular in Europe and Acquapole’s equipment is made and imported from Italy. It is relatively unique at this stage for the Australian Market with classes only running at Acquapole Australasia's HQ Parafield Gardens Swim School in South Australia, Aqua Stars in Warners Bay NSW, Keyes Oasis Retreat in Ultima, VIC and an Independent Instructor in Dalby, QLD.
Instructor trainings are conducted by Acquapole Master Trainers and facility support is given to all facilities who purchase Acquapole products.
Acquapole Master Trainer and AIAFC Event Co-ordinator, Donna Wilmott advises “times are slowly changing in the Aqua Fitness industry. Participants are becoming more savvy and understand the benefits of working out in water. Acquapole has teenagers, young parents, corporate workers and older generations in the pool reaping the benefits of safe water exercise at their facilities.
“Acquapole has experienced extreme growth in our program since the introduction of the larger equipment - taking our program from 14 classes per week to 25 classes per week with sometimes this still not being enough.”
Wilmott adds “there is also a demand with instructors wanting to teach this program and make a change in the industry from Dumbbells and Noodles (please note there is always a place for smaller equipment too!). However, facilities also need to see the value in investing in their aqua fitness programs. Facility Managers need to take a look in their pool - see how many faces are actually attending - I think they might be surprised! We are contacted daily with people wanting this in their facilities!”
