Acquapole presents a new challenge in aqua fitness
Newly available in the Australian and New Zealand markets, Acquapole® has been described as having the potential to change the shape of aqua fitness in Australasia.
Designed, conceived and patented in Italy in 2010 by qualified sport scientist Monica Spagnuolo, Acquapole® allows maximum freedom of movement and includes postural techniques, rehabilitation, toning and choreographic routines.
Trading as Acquapole Australasia, the product is distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Master Trainer Kym A’Court of the Parafield Gardens Swim School in Adelaide.
Enthused by Acquapole, A’Court comments “we have been running Acquapole® classes at our swim school in South Australia since April 2014 and have experienced tremendous success in our aqua program due to the introduction of this innovative piece of aquatic fitness equipment.
“In fact, we have just done our figures, and our aqua numbers have increased by 200% (in this time) and we currently have 23 Aqua Fitness classes running with all classes full.
“Our goal was to attract a different demographic to our aqua fitness program and show our current customers that aqua fitness is not just for senior groups ... (and) it’s worked.
“We are currently working our way around Australia as instructors and centres discover the many possibilities of Acquapole .
“Our next stop is Western Australia in March (with) the Geraldton Aquarena and The Shire of Koorda having just purchased Acquapoles® for their centres.”
