2019 Australian Performing Arts Exchange to focus on programming and marketing
Mindful that “success happens when programming and marketing are connected and work together” the organisers of the 2019 Australian Performing Arts Exchange (PAX) have shaped this year’s conference to deliver for both disciplines.
Being held at The Events Centre Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, organisers PAC Australia explain that “we've crammed a tonne of stuff into the program that will inspire producers, arts centre managers, and marketing managers alike - in fact, so much so, that this really is a two-person task.”
In a year in which the Australia Council's Marketing Summit is not taking place, the PAC Australia Conference is being promoted as the key event for performing arts centre managers and marketeers to access professional development from internationally renowned experts.
Combined with the premier networking and development event, the Performing Arts Exchange (PAX), the event is bringing together producers, programmers, presenters and marketers to create and maximise touring opportunities and build relationships.
The event also features the 2019 national Performing Arts Exchange with a line up filled with the best performing arts projects on offer.
PAC Australia add “PAX is the nation's premiere networking and development event. It brings artists, arts managers, programmers, presenters, and marketers together to build relationships and start conversations that ultimately delivers work to audiences across Australia.”
Conference host venue The Events Centre Caloundra reopened in May after a $6 million renovation.
Funded by Sunshine Coast Council and the Australian Government through the Building Better Regions Fund, the redevelopment included an upgraded theatre, a new function room and covered entrance and deck area.
PAX is being held from 26th to 29th August.
