10 Years of connection to be celebrated at 2025 Mass Participation World Conference

Mass Participation World (MPW) and Sunrise Events Vietnam are to each mark their 10th anniversaries with a flagship Mass Participation World Conference 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Organisers advise that the invitation only gathering “promises to be a defining moment for the global mass participation sports industry - bringing together leaders, innovators and changemakers at a critical turning point for the sector.”

With the theme ‘Moving from Events to Ecosystems: Harnessing Global Headwinds to Build Our Future Together’, organisers explain “as MPW enters its second decade, we gather not just to celebrate the past, but to design the future.

“Our industry is at a turning point. Global headwinds - from rising costs to digital shifts and climate disruptions - are colliding with unprecedented opportunities: smart cities, wellness mandates, and the redefinition of community.

“This year’s MPW will launch a new conversation: one that moves from start lines to systems, from single-day races to long-term resilience. Together, we’ll introduce a living framework for a shared future - Mass Participation Vision 2050 - anchored in the actions we must take today, the systems we must scale by 2030 and the legacy we want to leave by mid-century.”

The MPW team invites rights holders, organisers, government leaders and innovators to “co-create a world where mass participation isn’t just about movement, but about the infrastructure of health, connection and human potential.”

MPW 2025 also marks the third successive year that the event has been held in Ho Chi Minh City.
