Yoga Design Lab launches in Australia

Described by leading fashion magazines Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue as 'stunning works of art’, Yoga Design Lab is a fresh yoga brand that is shaking up the industry with sophisticated technology and beautiful and bright designs.

After success in the USA, the company has now launched its product range of mats, towels, straps, blocks and sprays in Australia.

Yoga Design Lab’s story goes back to 2014 when Canadian surfer/yogi, Chad Turner relocated to Bali, driven by the idea to create a highly functional as well as aesthetically beautiful yoga mat.

He recalls "I was seated in the back of a packed yoga class while on vacation in Ubud, Bali (and) looking around, all I saw was a sea of unoriginal, massed produced, solid colored mats.

“My thinking was that there must be a way of creating a highly functional product that was also aesthetically beautiful ... so the journey began.”

Aiming to create aline of yoga products that inspire more people to get excited about yoga, Turner blended fashion-oriented design elements with innovative functionality and bio¬renewable elements to creat Yoga Design Lab’s product range.

Turner adds “it’s always been a goal of mine to launch Yoga Design Lab in Australia (and) with the country's rapidly growing yoga and health/wellness scene, (we are) dedicates ourselves to growing the YDL brand in this beautiful place.”

From yoga mats comprised of biodegradable natural tree rubber; to the water-based inks used in the printed towel designs; to purifying, essential oil mat sprays, Yoga Design Lab’s products provide harmony, inspiration and functionality.
