Works commence on Hume Community Cricket Hub
Works have commenced on the Hume Community Cricket Hub, made possible by more than $4.5 million from Hume City Council alongside a $1.5 million investment from the Victorian Government’s Community Cricket Program.
Located at the popular Greenvale Recreation Reserve, the hub will offer keen cricketers a six-wicket indoor cricket training facility complete with an adjoining pavilion.
The new facilities will provide year-round training opportunities for people of all ages and abilities and give aspiring cricket stars the chance to develop their skills through expanded competitive and community programs, tournaments and camps.
Once complete, the Hume Community Cricket Hub is set to be a game-changer for the local Greenvale Kangaroos Cricket Club and the community’s cricket fans, providing more opportunities for people of all ages to grab a bat and ball and enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits of participating in community sport.
