The holiday season presents itself in different ways for specific sectors.

For some, holidays are a quiet time, allowing the opportunity to refresh before entering into the new year while, for others, they are the busiest time of the year.

Unlike the holiday season over a number of recent years, this peak time of year seems to be free from extreme weather events and challenges - and let us hope it remains that way. Nonetheless, safety is always an issue, when travelling, and particularly in aquatic environments where the vigilance of lifeguards and livesavers is something we commend.
