Westpac Stadium teams up with Hurricanes and Phoenix players to release new safety video

Westpac Stadium has teamed up with several players from the Hurricanes Super Rugby franchise and Wellington Phoenix FC to create a new venue safety video.

The video provides important information to Stadium patrons, including standard behavioural procedures, as well as what to do in the case of emergency.

To make things a little more entertaining, the video features cameos from Hurricanes players Ardie Savea, Reggie Goodes and Vince Aso, along with Phoenix players Andrew Durante, Tom Doyle and Mathew Ridenton.

Commenting on the initiative, Westpac Stadium Chief Executive Shane Harmon stated “we want every one of our patrons, staff and visitors to have a safe and enjoyable experience here at Westpac Stadium.

“This video allows us to convey some very important safety messages in a fun and engaging way”.

“Thank you to the Hurricanes and Phoenix players involved for their support in the creation of the video. There are some real big-screen stars in the making”.

Stadium patrons will be shown the video on the big screens and internal concourse screens prior to every event.

It is also available to view on the Westpac Stadium website and on YouTube- see below.
