Western Australian Government offers free entry to Perth Zoo

With ongoing cost of living pressures, the Western Australian Government has launched a $6.2 million initiative providing an opportunity for Western Australians to enjoy a memorable day at Perth Zoo for free between 9th September and 30th November 2024.

Every Western Australian can claim up to four free tickets to Perth Zoo via the ServiceWA app, starting today.

The Perth Zoo Free Pass can be used to admit both children and adults, and also provides free public transport to and from the Zoo.

A family of four headed to Perth Zoo will save more than $100 in ticket prices, plus more than $10 in public transport costs.

More than 800,000 people visited Perth Zoo last financial year - a new visitation record - underpinned by the WA Government's $51 million investment to upgrade facilities and attractions at the Zoo.

WA Environment Minister Reece Whitby noted "Visiting Perth Zoo is a beloved pastime for many Western Australians and this initiative provides people the opportunity to enjoy our inner-city oasis.

"When you claim a ticket, you can bring up to three people with you to enjoy the Zoo and make memories together.

"There are plenty of free zookeeper talks, a brand-new adventure playground, opportunities for guided tours and bookable animal encounters - it's a great day out with something for everyone.

"Providing this free pass initiative will help Perth Zoo introduce even more Western Australians to the wonderful world of wildlife."
