Warner Bros. Movie World brings back Fright Nights events
Warner Bros. Movie World’s premiere after-dark event, Fright Nights, is returning for nine nights over the next two months.
For the first-time this year the event will have five themed mazes branded in tandem with leading movie franchises including IT and Zombieland: Double Tap.
Advising that Fright Nights are one of Movie World’s biggest events, with the attraction transformed into fright-oriented themes, Village Roadshow Theme Parks Chief Operating Officer, Bikash Randhawa (pictured below) stated “this year’s Fright Nights event are set to be more terrifying than ever before with the inclusion of five mazes, four all new precincts, live entertainment and endless scares throughout the park.
“Our team have worked tirelessly to ensure this year’s event will be a game-changer and we have partnered with some of the best movie franchises in the world. For the first time ever, the event will have two mazes based on movies which will be in cinemas during the event period with The IT Maze, in cinemas now and Zombieland: Double Tap Maze, inspired by the new movie in cinemas from 17th October.
“The IT Maze is set to be one of the best mazes brought to life and is based on one of the most successful horror franchises of all time with guests to become immersed in some of the most iconic and frightening locations from the films as they set foot in the town of Derry.
“The Zombieland: Double Tap Maze will be true to the film, paying close attention to the style and humour of the franchise whilst still offering unexpected scares. Guests will embark on a horrific journey with Columbus and Tallahassee as they continue to carve out an existence in the post-apocalyptic world of Zombieland.
“The beauty of Fright Nights is that the park transforms, and guests find themselves immersed wherever they venture with frightening street performances and scarers lurching throughout the park.
“In addition to the mazes, there is a huge range of roaming entertainment including a live band at the Fountain, extra experiences such as panic rooms and themed food and beverage options as well as the parks signature rides and attractions.”
Fright Nights are not recommended for children under the age of 14 years.
Fright Nights will run from 6 to 10pm on selected nights in September and October.
