VMO unveils new large format digital screen at Fitness First Bond Street Sydney club

Digital media company VMO has unveiled the largest digital screen in an Australian fitness club at Fitness First Bond Street in Sydney.

Commanding exercisers' attention in the flagship Fitness First club, the impressive LED screen measures 8 metre x 4.5metre (36 metre²).

Having expanded rapidly in the past 18 months, VMO’s audio-visual network has expanded to 4,000 TV screens in Australian fitness club location and over 3,100 TV screens across its On-the-go network.

Commenting on the installation, VMO Managing Director Anthony Deeble advised “I’m thrilled to unveil our newest premium large format screen at Fitness First Bond St, one of our flagship locations and arguably one of the busiest health clubs in Australia.

"The sheer size and quality of this asset is testament to VMO’s ongoing commitment to deliver the best digital network in market – designed for impact and engagement.”

Adding to the screen's impact is the screen’s engaging audio-visual capability – a feature that Deeble feels sets the VMO Active and VMO On-the-go networks apart from competitors.

Hoyts Group subsidiary VMO (Val Morgan Outdoor) has expanded rapidly since its acquisition of the Active Media Group (AMG) in mid 2016 and Fit n Fast's media network earlier this year.

VMO Active Director Michael Ryan explains “we’ve grown the VMO Active portfolio steadily throughout 2017 – this location is certainly a landmark, the screen really dominates the entire club, providing advertisers with an opportunity to really have their brand seen and heard by a hard to reach audience.”

The latest installation comes in advance of VMO Active’s summer peak period when clubs experience an influx in foot traffic and new memberships – a time when Australians prioritise fitness in the lead up to and during summer.

The new addition comes just one month after VMO pioneered Australia’s very first ‘smart’ outdoor screen ‘Chevron Renaissance’ directly facing busy Surfers Paradise Boulevard.
