VMA invites nominations for 2020 Venue Industry Awards

While it will not be staging its 2020 Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress, the Venue Management Association (VMA) is still holding this year's edition of its Venue Industry Awards.

Looking to recognise excellence in the venue industry and, as the VMA advised "during these difficult times ... to celebrate our successes", the Venue Industry Awards are presented in three categories: the Venue Professional of the Year Award; Young Achiever of the Year Award and the Allied Professional of the Year Award - recognising significant and outstanding contributions made by Active, Allied and Young financial members of the VMA.

Advising on how the Awards will be presented, the VMA state "while we normally join our award winners and celebrate their achievements at the Awards Gala Dinner, we will this year look to adapt, and recognise and celebrate their achievements in new innovative ways."

Nominations close 31st March.

VMA Board Nominations
In accordance with its constitution, the VMA has opened nominations for its Board of Management.

This year three vacancies must be filled from the VMA's 'Active' member category and one vacancy must be filled from its 'Allied' member category.

Board nominations close at 5pm on Thursday 9th April 2020.
