VMA counts down to Venue Management School and Leadership Institute

The Venue Management Association (Asia-Pacific) is highlighting that with its 2023 Venue Management School (VMS) and Leadership Institute (LI) programs approaching, potential attendees need to register to attend.

Noting that the programs are “poised for another remarkable year”, the VMA have advised “in 2022, registration for these programs reached full capacity, marking a significant milestone with the creation of a waitlist for the very first time.

“Today, we find ourselves in a similar situation, with registration numbers already exceeding 50% (so) with less than two months remaining until School commences, we urge you to act quickly to secure your spot. This is a unique opportunity to advance your knowledge and cultivate valuable industry connections at what promises to be another exceptional VMS and LI.”

Institute of Venue Safety and Security
The VMA has also advised of the success of its inaugural Institute of Venue Safety and Security (IVSS) held at Sydney’s CommBank Stadium from Sunday 27th August to Friday 1st September.

The VMA advised “well done also to our exceptional team of Instructors, who delivered engaging and insightful content that promises to fortify security and elevate safety across our great venues.

Comments from students about the program included:

“The connections formed at IVSS are invaluable and I will lean on for the rest of my career. I really enjoyed learning from my peers just as much as the Instructors. Loved the Venue Tours and 'war stories' which had some great learnings."
Stella Donachie, National Operations Manager - Events & Venues at Red Badge Group

"...I took away a great deal of learning some of which I will be sharing and implementing with my team which is testament to the content that I was exposed to during the week.”
Logan Christian. Head of Operations at Auckland Stadiums.

"Through its commitment to standardising best practices, offering training and facilitating invaluable networking opportunities, IVSS stands as a beacon for professionals in the sector to provide a safe and secure venue to all their stakeholders."
Mike Brew, Operations Manager at Riverside Theatres

The VMA is also staging a series of After 5! networking events.
