Viva Leisure passes 20 years since opening of first Club Lime
Viva Leisure has passed 20 years since the opening of its first Club Lime, Club Blue and Club Swim facility at CISAC, Canberra.
Sharing the achievement on social media, Viva Leisure Chief Executive and Managing Director, Harry Konstantinou advised “this milestone isn't just about marking time - it's a celebration of an incredible journey we've shared as a team and community.
“From one location to a leading network across Australia, our growth has been phenomenal. Our team, expanding from around 100 to 1700 passionate individuals, reflects our commitment to excellence and community spirit. This isn't just a story of expansion, it's a tale of dreams turned into reality.
“I'm filled with gratitude when I think about our original team members who joined us on day one. Together, we've built more than just facilities - we've built a family, a culture, and a legacy. I fondly remember the all-nighters, the initial challenges and the thrill of our first successes, like reaching over 600 memberships on opening day, and now proudly serving over 350,000 members.
“A heartfelt thank you to everyone who's been part of this journey. Your dedication, innovation, and belief in our mission have been the driving force behind our success. As we look to the future, I'm exhilarated about the possibilities that lie ahead.
“Here's to continuing to inspire, innovate, and lead in the health and fitness industry.”
ISO 27001:2022 Information Security Management Systems certification
Viva Leisure has also announced that it has been awarded the ISO 27001:2022 Information Security Management Systems certification, which Konstantinou says is “a testament to our unwavering commitment to safeguarding our data and systems.
“This achievement is not just a feather in our cap but a crucial step in reinforcing the trust our customers place in us.”
The award is in addition to Viva Leisure’s existing accreditations:
ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems)
ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems)
ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems)
PCI-DSS Level 1 (for our Viva Pay subsidiary)
Before Christmas the group opened its 107th Club Lime facility at Westfield Parramatta, NSW.
Commenting on this, Konstantinou advised “the club's presentation is exceptional, showcasing a comprehensive range of equipment, meticulously prepared for our pre-sale members. I commend the exceptional work of our projects team, led by Aaron Brown, and the oversight of Michael Cunico, our Head of Fitness (amongst other things).
“Their expertise ensured that the club was established at full capacity, equipped with all necessary amenities to meet our members' needs.”
